The poet Jeff Green invented the Echo Sonnet which reminds of the French repeating poems like the Kyrielle poem. It is relatively new and is made of three quatrains and a couplet at the end.

The fourth line repeats itself as does the rhyme of the first line in every first line as well as the fourth which gives the following rhyme form: a*bbA accA addA a*A

As it is a sonnet it is preferable written iambic pentameter.

Well, this one is another challenge but here is my take on it :-):

Longing

Longing for spring and summer to return

when sun warms seeds and sprouts and lovely buds

and we enjoy a walk through forest green

tired of rain and cold and dark concern

Is it not time for all the tides to turn

to give us hope for fortunes good and not

the chilling feel of fate not earned and so

tired of rain and cold and dark concern

it is the promise of the best we yearn

have worked so hard to change the winter of

our luck in hope of seasons soon to shift

tired of rain and cold and dark concern

Longing for spring and summer to return

tired of rain and cold and dark concern

That was a tricky one but I start to enjoy working with form in poetry :-)!
