Writer's Quote Wednesday ~ The Old-fashioned Way ~ Roald Dahl #WWQW

it is a wonderful hot late summer day and I feel like sharing a quote or two. So I had a look around at Colleen’s Silverthreading and found out that Ronovan had chosen “Unity” as a topic. Well, let’s see if I can find a quote by Roald Dahl about unity as it is his birthday week. 100 years he would be since yesterday and so he deserves to be quoted ;-).

“I’m afraid the camera got smashed against the side of the Space Hotel, Mr. President,” Shuckworth replied. The President said a very rude word into the microphone and ten million children across the nation began repeating it gleefully and got smacked by their parents.”
― Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator

“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like, so long as somebody loves you.”
― Roald Dahl, The Witches

“Grown ups are complicated creatures, full of quirks and secrets.”
Roald Dahl

“I’m right and you’re wrong, I’m big and you’re small, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
― Roald Dahl, Matilda

“I’m afraid men are not always quite as clever as they think they are.”
― Roald Dahl, Matilda

“There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours you haven’t started wondering about yet.”
― Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach

Ok, I was pondering for about 100 seconds if I should try 100 quotes but after those 100 seconds, I thought that might take it a bit far ;-).

Besides the first, most of them have hardly anything to do with unity but they might explain why unity in humans is a hard thing to achieve.
