Habits of Kindness and Gratitude ~ Mo 19Sept16

Looks like I need these especially in the upcoming days.

I am off work. I could be happy like a gingerbread person ( yes, I made that up 🙂 ) but my mental health has other ideas: since a week or two I feel the signs of an oncoming depresdion or other crisis.

The way I try to deal with this is to accept and respect my negative thoughts and let them go, use St. Johnswort, essential oils, binaural beats, journaling, exercise and my safe place to stay in control but it gets more and more difficult. There is really not much more I can do, is there?

I believe that keeping the “Habits of Kindness and Gratitude” going is important too, so here we go again:

Three things you are grateful for:

St. Johnwort

– essential oils especially Lavender and Rosemary

– the best husband (Jeremy Clarkson voice) in the world

A random act of kindness:

I told my friend who suffers from depression too, that I think of her and keep a candle going

Journal an amazing experience:

Autocorrect isn’t usually the part of an amazing experience but yesterday it kept me giggling madly in my break and cheered me up a lot.

The conversation was with the best husband (J. Clarkson voice) in the world and it went like this (if you are under 18 you have to leave this blog now please 😉 ):

Me: I got us some nice thongs for dinner. No need for cooking.

Husband: Thongs? That sounds exciting!

Me: Lol I have thongs at home. I can water them for you when I come home.

At this point I couldn’t stop myself from laughing out loud which earned me a few looks :-).

Exercise:

Went for a walk of 40 minutes this morning and enjoyed it thoroughly!

Meditation:

Still using the grounding meditation music and just breathe.

I am also grateful for you my readers and this blog which is a constant source of happiness.
