#poem at night: Whole

Last month I re-posted a series of poems I’ve written throughout my life about identity. I have often wondered if I might live with DID a syndrome that occurs when a traumatic experience is dealt with, with extreme dissociation. I do dissociate and have done all of my life but there seems to be a strong part in myself that keeps it all together.

I’ve posted this poem first in March 2011 and it is the start of my “lost souls” series which is a series of poems dealing with feelings connected with abuse and dissociation:

Whole

My souls
lost in
eternity

stretching
grabbing
leading
the way

to wholeness

  1. Bee, I’m thankful that when you dissociate it helps you hold things together, instead of it consuming you. That’s truly awesome. Keep smiling and writing too!
