#Poem at night: POWER PLEASE

Standard

Personal power has been a topic for me for a while. My self-image so often is tainted by experiences of being a victim and it is so easy to fall prey to that sort of thinking. However, surviving trauma means there is a lot of power in you, you just have to embrace it with a humble heart.

POWER PLEASE

Power
a far fetched dream
of mine

I run after it
panting
mile after mile

If only
I could stand still
for a second

I would find
POWER
in myself!

  1. Lovely poem and wise words in your narrative, Bea! I find anyone who has survived trauma and helps, inspires, encourages and guides others as you do gives even more meaning to your experience. Blessings my friend and more power to you!
