Writers Quote Wednesday Writing Challenge ~ 6July16

So, after three months absence, Food blog Challenge and poetry writing, I am back with some excessive blogging  which means “Writer’s Quote Wednesday.” Oh, stop!

Writer’s Quote Wednesday has changed into “Writers Quote Wednesday Writing Challenge” which means you do not only offer a motivating quote you also get writing with it.

Colleen and Ronovan provide a writing prompt, but as you know, I am a little ahead of my time and write this post in April so I can hardly use the prompt they will come up with in July.

Never mind, I allow myself creative freedom and choose a quote and make something of it. I am sure Colleen and Ronovan won’t mind!

I chose a Dr. Seuss quote which I believe is pretty fitting:

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
― Dr. Seuss

I smile. I smile broadly because #frapalymo happened and I just love #frapalymo. No matter how good or bad my poetry is, I love the challenge @FrauPaulchen offers us every May and November. I know now much work she puts in and how much of a challenge it is for her too but she really gives us so much with this German poetry writing month.

So, I’ve decided to make a poem out of the above quote and add #frapalymo and @FrauPaulchen.

Here it comes

Don’t cry for me #frapalymo
because it’s over we sing along chanting:
“@FrauPaulchen’s smile,
she wears with style
and her prompts rock.

Don’t cry for me #frapalymo
because she is prompting poems
and it is happening
all over the web
and nowhere else.

Don’t cry for me #frapalymo
Because I say thank you
though my rhymes suck
I don’t give a buck
and better stop now!

*giggle* sorry for my bad language and bad poetry but that happens sometimes when you desperately try to distract yourself!

Ronovan wrote in April about this challenge:

This is your chance to highlight your favorite author’s quotes that give inspiration to you as a writer. Do you feel like your writing is getting stale? Are you looking for inspiration to keep writing? Then you have come to right spot! Want some wisdom on how to get people to perhaps click on your post more often? Check out my blog sometime today and I’ll give you the low down, or as my Ghana friend used to say, the ‘down low’.

Each week we will include a theme  for anyone who needs additional inspiration. You don’t have to follow our theme if you don’t want to. It is optional. The point here is to create and share.

Now it’s up to you if you want to take the challenge up and take part. I tell you it certainly is worth it!

You can find the newest prompts here on Colleen’s page Silverthreading.com

Off you go and do something creative!
