This article in The Guardian seems logic to me but I cannot see any new vision for how our societies and economies could change that would work.
What I have seen and read about new ideas mainly come from the point of view that humans want to live in peace and are happy to share a good life with everybody.
However, Brexit just showed us that that is not the case. When it comes down to it, we are still living in caves and protecting ourselves and our loved ones against ancient predators and other tribes trying to get our territory and food.
I believe any utopia of a new world needs to take this ancient part in ourselves serious and find a way to integrate it into its vision.
Any utopia needs to take into account the power of fear which so often is entirely unlogical but creates society changing events that often are not good. And they need to take into account greed and the plain aggressiveness in us humans.
If we do not learn to accept the dark side in ourselves then any new vision will fail due to an elite that doesn’t care about the rest of us, due to greed and power tripping.
But here the link to a very interesting article that is thought provoking:
Clean energy won’t save us – only a new economic system can do that
